Dr. Montori is a consultant in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition, Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He is also director of Sciences of Healthcare Delivery Research Program in the Department of Health Sciences Research at Mayo and is the lead investigator of the Knowledge and Encounter Research (KER) Unit. He is also co-director of the NIH-funded Knowledge Translation Research Unit of the Mayo Center for Translational Science Activities. As a teacher and mentor, Dr. Montori has received the Excellence in Teaching Recognition at Mayo Medical School and has mentored students, residents, fellows and faculty at Mayo and academic institutions around the world. As a researcher, he has authored over 190 research reports that have been published in top medical journals. Dr. Montori's research has focused on understanding and improving the process by which clinicians and patients use knowledge to make better decisions and improve patient outcomes.
