Sheryl is with the Mayo Clinic Cancer Education Program were she helps inform and educate patients, families and caregivers about services and resources to help them through the cancer journey. Ms. Ness holds a Master's degree in nursing from Augsburg College. In addition, she is an assistant professor of oncology at the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and is certified as a specialist in oncology nursing. She authors articles for the Living with Cancer Blog on Mayoclinic.com and serves as a social media resource for the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center. Sheryl is an associate editor for the Journal of Cancer Education. She has a strong interest in the topics of health literacy, social media in health care, cancer survivorship and quality of life concerns for patients living with cancer.
